Doing the interviews for Terry Kate's Romance in the Backseat was one of my recent highlights and a unique, fun experience. We met in the McDonald's parking lot in Freeport, Maine. My dh came along to be our driver and to take some snapshots for this blog. I helped Terry Kate with her equipment. Very high tech--a reflection screen, sound system, and her camera, of course.
Here we are getting ready to set up in the backseat.
I have to admit this is a recreation of me in the backseat. I didn't have the presence of mind to have her take this shot at the time but I'm wearing the same outfit. LOL.
Freeport is a Maine shopping mecca, the home to L.L. Bean and many other outlet stores. In summer, you can't find a parking place and traffic slows to a crawl, but in early June, we had light traffic as we drove slowly through town.
Another recreation. LOL. I read from PRIMAL OBSESSION and answered Terry Kate's questions about the book and about writing. I thought I'd feel really nervous but she made me feel so comfortable that my voice didn't even shake. Not sure I want to experience how I look and sound on video though. Maybe I'll peek through my fingers.
We turned around at the Desert of Maine, an area of natural sand dunes surrounded by oak trees, very weird.
Then we continued with reading and interviewing as we returned to the parking lot. Here we are all smiles, finished with a successful episode of Romance in the Backseat! Thank you Terry Kate!
